Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the  world. We are made up of men and women who volunteer because  they want to make a difference in their local, state. national and  international communities. Rather than sit back and complain  about  what is not being done, Lions recognize a community  problem and step forward to correct it. Most of the public know we  are the "Knights of the Blind" and help deserving individuals to  preserve and protect their vision. They do not know that we assist  the hearing impaired, diabetics, and youth exchange programs. At  the local level we assist the schools, volunteer fire fighters, youth  sports, habitat for humanity and many other programs.

Would you like to be a part of this? While membership is by invitation, we would be happy to meet you, invite you to attend a meeting, and consider you for membership. There is a Lions Club near you. Most clubs meet twice a month in the evening, but some have luncheon meetings. Please contact Gary Watson at 304-736-1748 or webmaster@lionsmd29-o.org, and he will put you in contact with the club closest to you. We encourage family participation, so bring your spouse.
