Fellow Lions, spring will soon be here and we will soon be conducting club elections to select officers for next year. Each club is to hold the
election no later than April 15 and each member of the club is to be notified 14 days prior to the date of election. The nomination committee, appointed by the club president, submits the names of candidates for the club offices at the nomination meeting. Nominations may be made from the floor at the nomination meeting. Once nominations are closed, no more nominations may be made. To be eligible for office, the nominee must be an active club member in good standing. Detailed election requirements are in the Club Constitution and By-Laws.
Following the election, the
club secretary must submit the PU-101 form. It is a very simple process to file this on-line by going to www.lionsclubs.org and clicking on the ….....Submit Reports link at the top of the homepage. Login and then click the….Club link at the top of the page, then click …...Club Officers and select the term date from the drop down list. Next, click on the…...Office Title and select the officer's name from the list of members. Be sure to click the…...Save button.By the way, please provide up-to-date meeting information as well. Once completed, the form can be printed by clicking on the …...Reports link and clicking the……..Print button next to the…...Officer Reporting Form (PU-101).
For clubs mailing reports to LCI, the paper form is available. If you, as an officer, do not have access to the Internet, you might ask a club member with access to print out a copy for you. Most zone chairpersons should be able to provide a copy or I will be happy to mail you a paper copy upon request. It can be downloaded and printed from the LCI web site link: http://www.lionsclubs.org/EN/common/pdfs/pu101.pdf
Please e-mail a PDF file , or a scan of the completed form, or mail a printed copy of it to me by the end of April so that I will have the information to provide for the 2012 - 2013 Directory. Conducting timely elections and reporting the results promptly to LCI and to me are most important. Thank you for your cooperation and work with Lionism.
